General Managers, or GM’s as we call them, lead the total operations for one our company owned restaurants – no franchisees here! Our GM’s are responsible for leading our teams while overseeing the daily operations of a Castle, ensuring that compliance, cleanliness, safety, staffing, and company goals are being met on a daily basis. GM’s also oversee inventory, optimize profits, solve problems, address concerns, grow and develop their team, and create positive memorable moments for our internal and external guests every day (among other things). Job Duties:
To embody White Castle’s Values and Behaviors by being Responsive, Customer Focused, Hungry, Healthy and Energetic, Humble and Accountable. Supervise the total operation of a White Castle. Direct team members to meet company standards for product quality and customer service. Develop and train team members to ensure not only a competent staff, but also to aid the company’s future growth:
- Supervise operations and work with the Castle’s management team to correct problems. Investigate complaints and work with the Castle’s management team to resolve problems
- Train new team members according to the Regional Development Manual. Identify training needs and weak points of team members. Work with them to improve while monitoring team members for adherence to product quality and customer service standards
- Supervise product preparation for adherence to Quality Control procedures and standards and monitor team member’s performance for the same.
- Work with the Castle’s management team to maintain equal and fair treatment of all team members and oversee all aspects of team member relations including disciplinary actions, team member issues and performance management
- Manage all aspects of castle operations to meet established goals
- Oversee all aspects of sanitation to ensure compliance with company guidelines. Observe operations for adherence to safe working procedures. Maintain and encourage a safe work environment
- Communicate all company policies and procedures as well as represent the company as needed
- Work on special projects and/or assignments as directed by Regional Management
Compensation:
- Competitive WEEKLY pay! This position starts at the minimum rate listed in this job posting, with the potential for higher earnings based on qualifications and experience.

Yearly Pay Range: $61,031.88 – $81,375.84

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required
- Knowledge of business essentials such as inventory, ordering, labor and food costs as well as experience in restaurant management
- Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and laws relating to health and sanitation, employment and labor practices, Equal Employment Opportunity and wage and hour compliance
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
- Leadership and supervisory practices experience as well as effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic accounting, computer, problem solving, decision making, conflict-resolution, and time management skills
- Must be able to obtain a ServSafe or other state required certification
